Overview




Milton CAT is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Service Coordinator to support our Power Systems Field Service team, focusing on industrial engines and generators. In this pivotal role, you'll manage technician scheduling, field service coordination, and provide critical support to ensure operational efficiency and outstanding customer satisfaction.

Pay Range: Minimum starting rate is $27.00 per hour depending on experience.






Responsibilities




    Customer Interaction: Answer phones and handle requests for service and quotes efficiently.
  • Scheduling: Confirm customer appointments and assist in scheduling, routing, and assigning tasks to service technicians.
  • Administrative Support: Open and update invoices and work orders as needed.
  • Parts Management: Order necessary parts for both service shop and field service calls.
  • Quote Assistance: Help with incremental repair quotes, providing clear and precise information.
  • Timecard Entries: Assist with timecard entries to ensure accurate tracking of work hours.
  • Lead Management: Pass on leads for work to other departments, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
  • Customer Support Agreement Coordination: Work closely with the CSA Department to meet their needs and support their operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multiple supervisors and technicians across departments.
  • Flexibility: Be ready to work after hours when needed to meet customer demands and ensure satisfaction.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality regarding pricing, promotions, inventory, customer lists, and financial reports.
  • Supportive Role: Emphasize timely closing of service calls, supporting supervisors from all departments.
  • Versatility: Cover absences in other positions within the Service department as needed, showcasing your adaptability.

Qualifications




To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

  • High school diploma or (GED) equivalent, with college or trade school preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and be detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast paced service environment.
  • Prior CAT dealer experience is a plus.
  • Prior exposure to generators, including mechanical and electrical systems, is highly desirable.
