YWCA Hamilton seeks a dedicated individual for the CAP Coordinator role to support homeless women through crisis intervention and advocacy. This position requires a strong commitment to feminist, anti-racist principles and the ability to work in emotionally charged environments. Provides support to homeless women accessing Carole Anne's Place, an Out of the Cold program designed to provide a safe, warm, supportive space for women when the shelter beds and overflow beds in the city are full. Using an integrated feminist anti-racist / anti-oppressive and trauma informed perspective, the CAP Coordinator will assess the needs of women and offer supports that include crisis intervention, supportive counseling, referrals, advocacy, brief goal planning, and programming; while ensuring adherence to the YWCA's vision, mission and values.
