Service Coordinator

Location: Fort McMurray, AB (Onsite)

Business Need / Purpose of Role :

The Service Coordinator will support the Operations Manager with all service activities in the office and shop. The role involves optimizing available hours, maximizing utilization, and tracking KPI data related to service efficiency.

Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities :

  • Assist with assigning work to technicians based on priorities, maintaining constant communication with the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure detailed reports are issued after all service work.
  • Optimize schedules considering personnel and equipment availability for each work order.
  • Manage equipment warranty issues and non-conformance report (NCR) processes related to warranty claims.
  • Act as the SOP process owner, collaborating with product management and sales to optimize stock.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager to prepare work orders based on customer information.
  • Manage subcontractors during repairs, ensuring standards and deadlines are met.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety and fostering a zero-harm culture.

Education and / or Experience :

  • 3+ years of service coordination or scheduling experience in an industrial setting.
  • Business or technical education is beneficial.
  • Project management experience is an asset.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Strong organizational and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to interpret SOPs and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
