Job summary

RMH Solutions, an Ontario-based overhead crane and material handling company, is seeking a technically minded Service Coordinator to arrange field technician schedules and coordinate service work from initial request to completion.

You will communicate with customers, prepare estimates, and ensure timely inspections and repairs, while coordinating parts and maintaining documentation. This is an on-site Cambridge, Ontario role with early start times.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with overhead cranes or material handling is a strong asset.
• Strong organizational, communication and customer-service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily and weekly technician schedules.
• Schedule inspections, service calls, repairs, and installations.
• Respond to customers by phone and email and coordinate inspection and repair dates.
• Prepare and issue inspection certificates.
• Review technician reports and prepare repair estimates.
• Coordinate approved repairs and follow-up work.
• Coordinate parts purchasing and orders with RMH suppliers.
• Maintain and monitor parts inventory.
• Track open jobs, estimates, inspections, parts orders, and customer requests.
• Maintain organized customer and service documentation.

RMH Solutions is an engineering-led overhead crane and material handling company providing crane service, repair, inspection, maintenance, installation, and custom lifting solutions across Ontario.

Established in 1984, RMH supports customers from initial feasibility and engineering design through manufacturing, installation, commissioning, inspection, and long-term service. With Professional Engineers licensed in Ontario, RMH also provides specialized engineering and consulting for new and existing crane systems, including custom solutions where standard equipment is not suitable.

We serve a wide range of industrial and commercial sectors, including automotive, manufacturing, steel fabrication, municipal water and wastewater, power generation, mining, and warehousing.

Our capabilities include overhead bridge cranes, jib and workstation cranes, hoists, custom lifting systems, rigging equipment, and related material handling solutions.

We are looking for a technically minded, highly organized, and proactive individual who can coordinate our field technicians, communicate with customers, and manage service work from initial request through completion.

Key Responsibilities

Education & Experience

A degree or diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field is preferred, particularly in:

• Mechanical

• Civil

Candidates with other related educational backgrounds may also be considered where they have relevant industrial, technical, service, or manufacturing experience.

Previous experience with overhead cranes, hoists, or the material handling industry is considered a strong asset.

Skills & Qualifications

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
• Comfortable coordinating multiple technicians, customers, and priorities
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and general computer software
• Comfortable learning scheduling, estimating, inventory, and service-management software
• AutoCAD experience is an asset
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through

Monday to Friday | 7:30 AM–3:30 PM | Full-Time | On-Site

The 7:30 AM start time is mandatory. Our service technicians begin their workday at 7:30 AM, and the Service Coordinator must be in the office and available at that time to coordinate technicians and support the start of daily service operations.

This is a fully on-site position. Applicants must be able to consistently report to our Cambridge office and be ready to work by 7:30 AM till 3:30 AM, Monday through Friday.
