Job summary

Wiehler Mechanical Ltd. in Calgary is seeking a Service Boiler Technician to install and service residential and commercial hydronic/boiler systems. You’ll troubleshoot controls, maintain safety standards, and ensure high-quality workmanship.

We offer competitive pay of $36-$48 per hour, benefits, a work vehicle, and a supportive team focused on reliability and customer satisfaction. You’ll work Monday to Friday with potential on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 5 years of hydronics experience in commercial, residential, or custom homes.
• Journeyperson Ticket or 4th year apprenticeship.
• Proficient with iPads and texting apps; Service Titan experience is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Sales experience is a plus.
• Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Install residential and commercial hydronic/boiler systems; repair and maintenance as needed.
• Test and calibrate controls, safety devices, and system components.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Work with hydronic and steam heating systems, including pumps and piping.
• Provide excellent customer service, explain issues and repair options.
• Maintain accurate service records of work performed and parts used.
• Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines on job sites.

We're looking for a hard-working, experienced person to join our team as a Service Boiler Technician. Our Boiler Tech manages the seamless installation of technical HVAC systems and expertly navigates intricate control setups. Experience completing repairs and skills in proactively troubleshooting complex hydronics/boiler systems are an asset.

OUR IDEAL SERVICE BOILER TECHNICIAN:

We're Looking For Someone Who Meets These Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in commercial, residential, or custom home hydronics
• 4th year or Journeyperson Ticket
• Tech-savvy with iPads and texting apps, Service Titan experience is an asset
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision
• Positive attitude and excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable with customer-facing service, sales experience is an asset
• Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
• Attention to detail and a motivation to produce high-quality work

And Who Can Manage These Responsibilities

• Install residential and commercial hydronic/boiler systems. Repair and maintenance experience is an asset (including burner tuning, cleaning, and replacing worn-out components)
• Test and calibrate controls, safety devices, and system components
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
• Work with hydronic and steam heating systems, including pumps, expansion tanks, and piping
• Provide excellent customer service, explaining issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations
• Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and follow-up actions
• Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines while on job sites
