Location: Shangri-La Toronto

With exceptional, personalized assistance, facilitate arrangements on behalf of the guest, maximizing the balance between Colleague, Guest, and Owner satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Provide a 5-star experience to guests, through Shangri-La hospitality from caring people.
  2. Maintain expertise on and contacts with local venues, attractions, restaurants, tourism events, and local counterparts.
  3. Interact with guests to provide information, assist with personal events, arrangements, bookings, tickets, and reservations.
  4. Meet service expectations proactively, promptly, graciously, and professionally, with genuine care and attention to detail.
  5. Demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication, accuracy in transactions, respect, sincerity, helpfulness, courtesy, and humility.
  6. Night shifts may periodically be required.
  7. Perform Service Associate - Bellperson duties and shifts when required.
  8. Undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities as needed.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Service Excellence – Warm, friendly, sincere, driven for service excellence, gracious, humble.
  • Detail-oriented – Careful attention to details in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Functional Knowledge – Familiarity with 5-star expectations for Front Desk, Reservations, and Service Center procedures, systems, and protocols.
  • Operational Competence – Ability to learn and follow Shangri-La standards, programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Communication – Proficiency in English; other languages are a plus.
  • Decision Making – Ability to prioritize and make prompt, reasonable decisions.
  • Problem Solving – Capable of managing multiple needs calmly and creatively.
  • Emotional Maturity – Respectful interaction with others, demonstrating sincerity, helpfulness, courtesy, and humility.
