With exceptional, personalized assistance, facilitate arrangements on behalf of the guest, maximizing the balance between Colleague, Guest, and Owner satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide a 5-star experience to guests, through Shangri-La hospitality from caring people.
- Maintain expertise on and contacts with local venues, attractions, restaurants, tourism events, and local counterparts.
- Interact with guests to provide information, assist with personal events, arrangements, bookings, tickets, and reservations.
- Meet service expectations proactively, promptly, graciously, and professionally, with genuine care and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication, accuracy in transactions, respect, sincerity, helpfulness, courtesy, and humility.
- Night shifts may periodically be required.
- Perform Service Associate - Bellperson duties and shifts when required.
- Undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities as needed.
Mandatory Requirements
- Service Excellence – Warm, friendly, sincere, driven for service excellence, gracious, humble.
- Detail-oriented – Careful attention to details in a multi-tasking environment.
- Functional Knowledge – Familiarity with 5-star expectations for Front Desk, Reservations, and Service Center procedures, systems, and protocols.
- Operational Competence – Ability to learn and follow Shangri-La standards, programs, policies, and procedures.
- Communication – Proficiency in English; other languages are a plus.
- Decision Making – Ability to prioritize and make prompt, reasonable decisions.
- Problem Solving – Capable of managing multiple needs calmly and creatively.
- Emotional Maturity – Respectful interaction with others, demonstrating sincerity, helpfulness, courtesy, and humility.
- Ethical Conduct – Highest integrity in fulfilling responsibilities.
- Technology Skills – Competent with systems used within the department, including Windows-based programs and PDA technology.

Other Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in an international, high-end hotel.
- Experience with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is advantageous.
- Flexible schedule, including availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
