Job description

Picton Farm Supply offers their customers: livestock feed, pet food, pet supplies, equine supplies, fencing, bird seed and feeders, chlorine, and various other farm-related items.

Our Ideal Candidate Has/Is:

  • An excellent customer service-minded individual with full-time availability; however, we ask that interested applicants clearly identify their availability and flexibility terms of employment in their application/interview. Hours of work are: Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and every other Saturday from 8 a.m. to Noon.
  • Physically able to perform lifting tasks of 55 lbs or more.
  • Perform all aspects of friendly customer service at front, including cash— this is an essential element of the job, and is not strictly a warehouse role. Training can be supported, but the willingness to perform cashier tasks must be present in the successful candidate.
  • Possess legible printing for writing invoices and a pleasant telephone manner for answering all customer and supplier telephone calls.
  • Agricultural experience/prior knowledge is an asset.
  • Keen to perform loading dock shipping/receiving duties, as well as merchandising/stocking shelves.
  • A team player with a no job too big or small attitude is a fit for our team, as this is the way we serve our customers well.
