Job Summary

The Service Advisor works in a fast-paced Automotive Service Centre environment, communicating directly with customers and Service Centre employees, managing customers’ needs and expectations regarding auto service, maintenance, and repairs.

Responsibilities
  1. Greet, assist, and thank customers in a friendly manner, over the phone and in person.
  2. Offer professional and knowledgeable advice to build customer trust and loyalty.
  3. Listen actively to identify customer concerns and problems regarding repair and maintenance of their vehicle.
  4. Prepare work orders and review estimated costs with customers.
  5. Manage customers’ expectations of when their vehicle will be ready.
  6. Act as a liaison between customers and Service Centre employees.
  7. Schedule service appointments.
  8. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements / Skills
  • Knowledge of automotive mechanics
  • Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
  • Approachable
  • Physical ability to stand/walk for 8 hours, lift and carry items, use a ladder, twist, turn, and reach
  • Problem-solving skills, adaptability, decision-making
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and follow up on tasks
  • Valid driver’s license for the province of employment
  • Good knowledge of COSTAR (asset)
  • Experience in a similar role (asset)
