ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Service Advisor to join our team at Dilawri Group. The successful candidate is someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and eager to contribute to our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers and gather the required information to identify the vehicle repair and maintenance work needed.
- Advise customers on maintenance schedules, explain the importance of maintenance based on manufacturers' recommendations, sell services, understand and apply factory and aftermarket warranties. Recommend additional services based on vehicle history, time, and mileage, and provide the finance office with warranty expiration information.
- Document and complete a repair order, verifying customer information, preferred method of contact, vehicle information, concerns, and providing an accurate detailed price estimate. Conduct vehicle walk-around, check vehicle history for open recalls and campaigns, and inform the customer about the expected timeframe for completion.
- Obtain pre-authorization costs, parts availability, and payments.
- Verify the scope of warranty coverage prior to work being done and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.
- Monitor the progress of work and keep customers informed regarding the status of their vehicle.
- Review CSI monthly scores and daily performance.
- Utilize CDK and Dealer-FX on all customer pay repair orders and accurately order parts.
- Prepare and explain the work and charges to the customer.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
About You
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Service Advisor in the automotive industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to interpret customer descriptions of vehicle problems and translate them into clear instructions for technicians.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capability to handle customer concerns or complaints professionally.
- Good understanding of brand, maintenance, and warranty requirements.
- Proficient in computer use and quick to learn new programs.
- Previous experience with CDK and/or Dealer-FX is considered an asset.
