Job description

MTB Transit Solutions is looking for a self-driven and motivated Service Advisor. The Service Advisor will be responsible for performing various tasks to support the day-to-day operations for the management team and company.

Duties :

  • Assist management team on customer vehicle service needs for each individual unit.
  • Provide clear and concise explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Communicate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Keep customers informed of vehicle status and progress.
  • Keep work order paperwork in order and assist throughout each individual workload.
  • Assist in managing detailed lists for customer on various work order defect lists.
  • Assist and coordinate parts for various customer projects with parts department and operations team.
  • Coordinate bus drivers for daily pickup and deliveries of units.
  • Communicate with customers throughout jobs.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of automotive systems, parts, and repairs is necessary.
  • Experience dealing and understanding of automotive / truck schematic drawings.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and aptitude to learn a computerized inventory management and warehouse system.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow processes and procedures.
  • Safety oriented mindset.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Ability to withstand long periods of standing and bending.
  • Legally able to work in Canada; and able to communicate in English

We work out of a bright, clean, and modern shop full of state-of-the-art equipment. We have a great working environment that is non-unionized, with many long-term employees.

  • Our facility is just off the Highway 401 in Milton – easy commuter access.
  • Shifts are Monday to Friday from 6 : 30 AM – 3 : 30 PM – no nights or weekends!!!!
  • We’re also flexible with personal needs, vacation, and encourage recharging time away.
