Service Access Facilitator

To further assist seasonal workers, students and residents of the Atikokan area, the Atikokan Employment Centre is currently seeking aService Access Facilitator (Summer). While working in this position, you will assist staff with a variety of community outreach and client related services. The individual will also assist in providing services in our Resource and Information Centre including visitor reception and answering incoming calls.

If you are a courteous, dynamic and outgoing individual who possesses excellent customer service skills while working in team-based work environments, we want to hear from you. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and abilities.

• Digital skills to use Microsoft Office Applications and other digital communication devices.
• Knowledge or ability to learn job search techniques and understanding employment application processes.
• Good oral and written communication skills to effectively, tactfully and respectfully interact with others.
• Knowledge of web based/social media job advertisement methods and job seeker web sites.
• Willingness to learn about programs and resources available to job seekers.
• Experience interacting with public and on social media.
• Knowledge of local services to assist with maintaining and supporting health.
• Ability to strictly adhere to relevant privacy legislation.

Note: As a result of the funding for this position, applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 30 at the start of their employment.

Rate of Pay: $18.00 per hour for 35 hours per week

Hours of Work: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm weekdays (occasional weekend work may be required

Duration of Employment: minimum of 8 weeks. A continuation of full-time may be available for up 12 weeks. There is also the potential for part-time employment throughout the upcoming academic year depending on available funding and personal availability.
