Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is hiring a part-time Server for The Beechwood, Mississauga. Shift is 4:30pm-7:30pm in our bright dining room, supporting with setup, service, and clean-up as part of our dining services in a retirement residence.

The role emphasizes courteous service, teamwork, and respect for residents, with preference for prior food service experience and ability to lift heavy items. VPS screening may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service and with seniors is preferred.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to lift and stand for extended periods.
• Second language is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests professionally.
• Set and clear tables; deliver tray service as needed.
• Assist with dishware cleaning and warewashing.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas.
• Assist with catering and special events.
• Participate in orientation and training of new staff.
• Follow health and safety regulations and policies.
• Adhere to provincial regulations and department rules.
• Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings.
• Support Quality Improvement initiatives.
