About the Role

As a Server at VIVA Retirement Communities, you will be responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to our community members, ensuring a positive and welcoming dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Greet community members and guests warmly.
2. Respond to inquiries regarding the menu.
3. Take orders and communicate them to the kitchen/bar.
4. Serve food and beverages, and refill as needed.
5. Set and clear tables according to standards.
6. Address and resolve any concerns or complaints professionally.
7. Participate in training and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, preferably in a retirement or fine dining setting.
• Strong customer service skills, especially with older adults.
• Smart Serve and Food Handler Certificates.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Current police background check and vulnerable sector search.
