Server, Events Operations (Casual)
You will be an ambassador of luxury service in Calgary’s only choice for events. As an Event Server, you will have the perfect opportunity to touch the hearts of our guests providing warm, engaging service and a deep knowledge of our menu offerings. You will ensure that every moment becomes a memory for our guests.

Reporting to the Director of Event Operations, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Set up rooms & function areas in the hotel
• Explain the banquet menu to guests
• Assist those with special dietary needs or preferences as well as provide suitable assistance when recommending beverages
• Clear and reset tables as well as ensuring service areas are clean and tidy
• Set up, service, and tear down of bars
• Provide engaging and luxury service to our guests
• Ensure all our guests leave with a positive dining experience
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure that all Health & Safety standards are met, procedures followed, and have the knowledge and tools to work safely.
• Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all food safety & hygiene policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all sustainability and food waste reduction/diversion policies, procedures, and programs at the hotel.
• Follow all department and hotel policies, procedures, and service standards
• Execute all other duties as assigned by the Director of Event Operations or their designate.

• Possesses a warm, caring, and personable demeanor
• Flexible availability, with a focus on evenings and weekends
• Must be available to work on key holidays, including Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, Mother’s Day, and during Stampede, as well as other designated blackout dates throughout the year
• Previous experience in events or fine dining (serving or bartending) considered an asset
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team, with minimal supervision
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently
• Thrives in high-pressure environments
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
