Key Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests courteously and professionally;
• Set and clear tables, deliver tray service as required;
• Assist with dishware and cutlery cleaning after service;
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas;
• Participate in catering and special events;
• Assist with training new culinary staff;
• Follow health and safety regulations;
• Respect Resident Rights & Responsibilities;
• Attend training and staff meetings;
• Participate in Quality Improvement programs;
• Uphold organizational values related to ethics and integrity;
• Perform other assigned tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service and working with seniors preferred;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Ability to lift heavy/hot items and stand/walk for most of the shift;
• Proficiency in a second language is an asset;
• Current (within 6 months) VPS screening or willingness to obtain one.
