Qualifications

Job description

Operating in the hospitality and restaurant industry for nearly 50 years, Gray Collection is an award-winning group of authentically local hotels and restaurants that offer travelers from around the world the experience of friendly luxury. Our establishments include Maggie Oakes, Jacopo, Vieux-Port Steakhouse, Pincette, Bevo Bar+Pizzeria, Taverne Gaspar, Terrasse le Perché, Terrasse William Gray, Terrasse sur l’Auberge, and Terrasse-Jardin.

The server advises customers, takes orders and serves food and beverages in the dining room. More generally, he/she collaborates with the other members of the dining room team to provide customers with an outstanding gastronomic experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Set up the dining room before service begins.
  2. Advise customers and take orders.
  3. Inquire about customer satisfaction at every opportunity.
  4. Respond to customer requests.
  5. Do the billing once the meal is finished.
  6. Ensure cleanliness of work area, dining room and bathrooms.
  7. Perform any other related duties necessary for the smooth running of the service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Minimum of one (1) year experience in food service.
  2. Strong interest in teamwork.
  3. Ability to work under pressure.
  4. Good organizational skills.
  5. Availability to work evenings and weekends.
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French.
