Job description

Operating in the hospitality and restaurant industry for nearly 50 years, Gray Collection is an award-winning group of authentically local hotels and restaurants that offer travelers from around the world the experience of friendly luxury. Our establishments include Maggie Oakes, Jacopo, Vieux-Port Steakhouse, Pincette, Bevo Bar+Pizzeria, Taverne Gaspar, Terrasse le Perché, Terrasse William Gray, Terrasse sur l’Auberge, and Terrasse-Jardin.

The server advises customers, takes orders and serves food and beverages in the dining room. More generally, he/she collaborates with the other members of the dining room team to provide customers with an outstanding gastronomic experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up the dining room before service begins.
  • Advise customers and take orders.
  • Inquire about customer satisfaction at every opportunity.
  • Respond to customer requests.
  • Do the billing once the meal is finished.
  • Ensure cleanliness of work area, dining room and bathrooms.
  • Perform any other related duties necessary for the smooth running of the service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in food service.
  • Strong interest in teamwork.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French.
