Key Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests courteously;
• Set and clear tables, deliver tray service as needed;
• Assist with dishware and cutlery cleaning;
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas;
• Participate in catering and special events;
• Support orientation and training of new staff;
• Follow health and safety regulations;
• Respect Resident Rights & Responsibilities;
• Attend training and staff meetings;
• Participate in Quality Improvement programs;
• Uphold organizational values and ethics;
• Perform other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Experience in food service and working with seniors preferred;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Ability to lift heavy/hot items and stand/walk for shifts;
• Proficiency in a second language is an asset;
• Current (within 6 months) VPS or willingness to obtain one.
