Job summary

SSP Canada operates restaurants at major Canadian airports and seeks a friendly Server to welcome guests, take orders, and deliver beverage and food service with attention to detail.

The role requires at least one year of serving experience, fluent English and French, and basic math skills for cash handling. Early morning shifts begin at 3 AM, with company perks including parking and a meal plan.

Qualifications

• One year serving experience required.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Verbal and written communication in English and French language required.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and balancing.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a timely, courteous manner.
• Input orders into the register and create checks for guests.
• Handle cash, give correct change, and verify charges.
• Maintain bar setup and ensure stock of garnishes and perishables.
• Adhere to liquor regulations and health standards.
• Perform general cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Other duties as needed.

SSP Canada operates several restaurants within the Montreal Trudeau International Airport. At SSP Canada, our Servers enjoy engaging with our guests while serving hand-crafted beverages and delicious food. Our servers are up-to-date on trends in the alcoholic beverage industry. They have experience crafting beverages and serving them with attention to detail. Our restaurants are fast-paced and our servers can work quickly with accuracy and deliver outstanding customer service without breaking a sweat!

Here are a few things you can expect if you join our team as a Server:

• Greet guests in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Input orders into register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest.
• Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar at all times.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests at all times.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills And Other Requirements

• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand weights and measurements.

Required

This position is located in a secure airport environment and a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) is required.
