Position Summary

The Server Assistant is the Server’s right hand. They must be in tune with the flow of service, know where each table is in the cycle, and welcome guests while managing setup, service, and cleanup according to company standards and safety policies. Effective communication with the Server, attention to detail, and a graceful presence are essential.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist Servers and Hosts in serving food and beverages upon request.
  2. Maintain water service and levels throughout the meal.
  3. Clear, clean, and reset tables with appropriate service ware, adhering to sanitation standards.
  4. Crumb tables as directed.
  5. Transport and sort dirty tableware.
  6. Stock and clean stations, including linens, silverware, and condiments; clean floors and move furniture as needed.
  7. Fold napkins, polish silver, replenish condiments, and organize side stands.
  8. Ensure the dining area is clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
  9. Respond promptly and graciously to guest issues, reporting to the appropriate staff.
  10. Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
  11. Perform cleaning projects as needed.
  12. Support teamwork and communication with colleagues and supervisors.
  13. Act professionally, understanding all actions are visible to guests.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Clear communication and composure under pressure.
  2. Graceful movement in the dining area.
  3. Knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and glassware.
  4. Punctuality and proper uniform compliance.
  5. Understanding of sanitation standards.

Experience

Previous restaurant serving or customer service experience preferred.

Physical Demands
