Job description

Responsible for proactively maintaining and improving the server core infrastructure functionality and working within existing procedures and guidelines to meet client business requirements.

  • Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Perform hardware and OS installations, migrations, and/or upgrades.
  • Plan for software and hardware upgrades and/or migrations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation.
  • Maintain operating systems and associated infrastructure software.
  • Develop system-related procedures.
  • Provide cross-training and knowledge transfer to other server team members on relevant aspects of hardware and software support.

ADDITIONAL DELIVERY DETAILS TO BE SHARED WITH POTENTIAL CANDIDATES:

  • In addition to the listed responsibilities, share the following deliverable details with candidates:

Adhere to existing GoA established policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and practices.

Manage user account (ID) creations, maintenance, and deletions for network resource access.

Maintain Exchange email resources such as mailboxes, distribution groups, Global Address List updates, and related services.

Implement and maintain user security and folder permissions.

Provide ad hoc reporting of the same.

Manage security group membership to control access to files and folders for network applications and shared data.

Handle file and folder moves, restructuring, and permission settings.

Respond to and resolve customer incidents or service requests related to Domain and Exchange administration.

Participate in project work as required.

Develop and modify domain and Exchange administration documentation, processes, and guidelines.

Assist in Active Directory cleanup as necessary.
