Job description

Reporting to the Team Lead, Server Operations, Technology and Innovation, the Intermediate Server Analyst (Infrastructure) shall be responsible for day-to-day operations within the Government of Alberta (GoA) Server Environment, focusing on Windows virtual server support activities.

DUTIES

1. Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
2. Perform hardware and OS installations, migrations, and/or upgrades.
3. Plan for software and hardware upgrades and/or migrations.
4. Develop and maintain documentation.
5. Maintain operating systems and associated infrastructure software.
6. Develop system-related procedures.
7. Provide cross-training and knowledge transfer to other server team members on relevant aspects of hardware and software support.
