Job description

At Chances Dawson Creek, we feature a full-service lottery terminal and 152 slot machines, including electronic blackjack and roulette. Our team enjoys welcoming guests and providing memorable experiences on the gaming floor and in our licensed lounge, offering great food and entertainment.

Position Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented Server to join our Food and Beverage team. This role involves creating a safe, welcoming environment and delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Under the supervision of the Food & Beverage Manager, responsibilities include:

  1. Providing professional, high-quality service to patrons.
  2. Selling food and beverages with enthusiasm and positivity.
  3. Having thorough knowledge of all Food and Beverage items offered.
  4. Using the P.O.S. Micros system, handling cash and credit transactions, and balancing sales at shift end.
  5. Cleaning tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining a tidy dining area.
  6. Restocking and organizing work areas and equipment.
  7. Practicing Serving It Right continuously.
  8. Supporting team members as needed and following opening and closing duties.
  9. Adhering to all policies related to the role.
  10. Maintaining professionalism and supporting a positive work environment through open communication and teamwork.
  11. Protecting Casino and guest confidentiality at all times.
  12. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. At least one year of experience in a high-volume customer service environment.
  3. Cash handling experience.
  4. Ability to operate relevant equipment such as adding machines and currency counters.
  5. Successful completion of Criminal Record and Credit Check.
  6. Basic computer skills.
  7. Availability for all shifts, including nights and weekends.
  8. Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  9. Serving It Right certification.
  10. Experience with Micros or similar POS systems is a plus.
