Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is hiring a Server for Aspira Stonebridge Crossing in Saskatoon, SK. The role focuses on hospitality dining service, assisting with meal prep, and maintaining a clean, safe dining environment for residents.

Ideal candidates have Serve It Right and Food Safe certificates, strong English communication, and a willingness to work a fixed schedule Mon-Sat with weekends off. Eligible to work in Canada is required.

Qualifications

• Must have Serve It Right (SIRS) certificate.
• Must have Food Safe Certificate.
• Ability to work independently and/or as a team.
• Experience working with seniors is an asset.
• Proven customer service skills with diverse residents.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid permit.
• Willing to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check.
• Sienna Senior Living may use AI to screen applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitality-style dining service per Ready, Set, Serve in serving areas.
• Assist with food preparation and presentation under Chef guidance.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation per health department standards.
• Promote wine service sales following prescribed procedures.
• Comply with provincial regulations and ORCA standards for tour readiness.
• Participate in drills and education on emergency preparedness.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a welcomed member of the team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Server, you will support residents’ health and well-being by assisting with meal preparation and service, ensuring a safe, clean, and pleasant dining experience every day. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

What makes you a great fit?

• Responsible for all aspects of hospitality style dining service utilizing the Ready, Set, Serve Program as it applies to the serving areas, setting, serving and cleaning tables;
• Assists with the preparation and presentation of food under the direction of the Chef;
• Practices and maintains established standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout all aspects of food preparation and service as required by the health department;
• Promotes and tracks a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed procedures;
• Complies with all provincial regulations, established food and beverage department policies and procedures and ORCA standards to ensure the department is tour ready;
• Participates in drills to prepare for emergencies and attends all education sessions in relation to emergency preparedness.
• Work in accordance with the organization’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act

What You Need To Know

• Must have Serve It Right (SIRS) certificate, or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment;
• Must have Food Safe Certificate, or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment;
• Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team;
• Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process an asset;
• Proven customer service skills to work with residents of various cultural backgrounds
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills required
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check
