Job summary

Holt Renfrew in Montreal is seeking a Server to take and deliver food orders, ensuring guests enjoy every dining experience.

The ideal candidate is fluent in French and English, with 2–3 years’ hospitality experience and a high school diploma.

• Suggère un vin ou une boisson pour accompagner la nourriture, avec l’aide du(de la) serveur(euse) de bar.
• Suggère des accompagnements pour le plat principal.
• Vend des boissons, des cafés et des desserts de qualité supérieure, lorsque approprié.
• Gère toutes les préoccupations des clients avec courtoisie et fait appel au(à la) directeur(trice) / chef de cuisine pour tout problème délicat.
• Se conforme à toutes les politiques et exigences de santé-sécurité.
• Assurer le respect en matière de protection de la vie privée, des réglementations et des mesures de cybersécurité.

Server

The Server defines services our customer by taking and delivering food orders. Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Confirms daily specials and provides detail information on ingredients as required
• Records client’s choices and relays same to kitchen
• Recalls orders accurately and delivers correct food items to clients
• Graciously and unobtrusively ensures client satisfaction with meals
• Ensures that clients know about new items on the menu
• Recommends wine and beverage pairings with assistance of bartender
• Recommends side dishes to compliment main courses
• Up-sells beverages, coffees and desserts as appropriate
• Handles all customer service concerns graciously, referring difficult issues to the Manager / Executive Chef
• Comply with all Health & Safety policies and requirements
• Ensure compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cyber security measures

The ideal candidate:

• High School Diploma
• 2-3 years previous experience in similar capacity
• Fully bilingual in French and English
