What You’ll Be Doing :

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager or designate, the Dining Room Server supports hospitality-style dining services to meet residents' needs in accordance with legislative requirements and organization standards.

  • Manage all aspects of hospitality-style dining, including setting, serving, and cleaning tables, following the Ready, Set, Serve Program;
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation under the Chef's direction;
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout all aspects of food service;
  • Promote and track sales of à la carte and wine services;
  • Ensure compliance with provincial regulations, department policies, and ORCA standards;
  • Participate in emergency drills and attend all relevant education sessions;
  • Follow the organization’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures, complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

What You Need to Know :

  • Must have Smart Serve or Serve It Right (SIRS) designation (for Saskatchewan) and at least one year of dining room service experience;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Safe Food Handling Certification is preferred;
  • Experience working with seniors and knowledge of aging is an asset;
  • Proven customer service skills with residents from diverse backgrounds;
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
