What You’ll Be Doing:

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager or designate, the Dining Room Server supports hospitality-style dining to meet residents' needs, in accordance with legislative requirements and standards.

  • Provide hospitality-style dining service, including setting, serving, and cleaning tables, using the Ready, Set, Serve Program;
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation under the Chef's direction;
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout food prep and service;
  • Promote and track a la carte and wine sales according to procedures;
  • Follow provincial regulations, policies, procedures, and ORCA standards to ensure readiness;
  • Participate in drills and educational sessions on emergency preparedness;
  • Adhere to Health and Safety Policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

What You Need to Know:

  • Smart Serve or Serve It Right (SIRS) certification (for Saskatchewan) and one year of dining room service experience;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team;
  • Safe Food Handling Certification (preferred);
  • Experience with seniors and knowledge of aging (asset);
  • Strong customer service skills with diverse residents;
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
