Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited in Kamloops seeks a dynamic Lounge Server for part-time shifts, including days, evenings and weekends. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and promote events with a focus on delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Two years of high-volume dining experience, cash handling, and knowledge of food and beverage products are required. Benefits and a competitive wage accompany a national company with multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Two years or more experience in a similar high-volume restaurant environment.
• Cash handling experience using POS system or cashier register.
• Serving It Right
• Proven selling and service skills in a dining, retail, or promotions environment.
• Ability to carry up to 30 pounds, specifically a fully loaded serving tray.
• Knowledge of specialty food and beverage items.
• Successful in-house testing on knowledge of specialty food and beverage items.
• Successful in-house testing on service delivery and promotional ability.

Job Type: Part-Time

Wage: $18.25 per hour

Gateway is seeking a dynamic, outgoing and energetic Server who loves to create buzz and excitement, as well as provide an outstanding and personalized guest experience. As a Lounge Server, you will increase guest loyalty by building a client network and promoting events and products. You can manage the needs of guests with a smile, bring stellar listening skills and create a warm, comfortable dining experience guests will remember.
