Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is hiring a dynamic Lounge Server to deliver memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced, high-energy setting. You will manage orders, promote events, and build guest loyalty while enjoying benefits and competitive wages at a leading Canadian gaming company with 31 properties.

We are seeking a friendly, professional individual with experience in casual dining or bar environments, strong multitasking skills, and the ability to obtain the IGCO gaming license

Qualifications

• Two years or more experience in a similar high-volume restaurant or bar environment.
• Cash handling experience using POS system or cashier register.
• Tourism, promotion, marketing, entertainment or event training experience preferred.
• Serving It Right (BC)
• World Host / Super Host certificate or other similar customer service programs preferred.
• Proven selling, marketing, and service skills in a dining, retail, or promotions environment.
• Ability to obtain IGCO gaming license.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and demonstrates expert knowledge of products, events and promotions.
• Takes orders, expedites and serves food and beverages accurately within time guidelines.
• Participates in promotional activities including social media, events and photo sessions.
• Accurate entry of information into our systems including drink orders and patron loyalty program information.
• Ensure a clean working environment by monitoring for empties, cleaning coffee stations and ensuring work area is ready for the next shift.

What You Bring

• Ability to obtain your IGCO gaming license.
• Ability to carry up to 30 pounds, specifically a fully loaded serving tray.
• Knowledge of specialty food and beverage items.
