Job summary

Red Robin Coquitlam is hiring Servers to join our front-of-house team at 3000 Lougheed Hwy, Coquitlam, BC V3B 1A1. Base wage is $18.25/hour + tips, with both full-time and part-time positions and flexible scheduling. Training is provided; Serving It Right is required for liquor service in BC.

As a Server, you’ll welcome guests, take orders, learn the menu, and provide a friendly, efficient dining experience. Opportunities exist to grow into supervisory roles in a locally owned restaurant.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking with guests.
• Experience is welcome but not required.
• Serving It Right certification is required for liquor service in British Columbia.

Previous serving experience is welcome, but it is not required. If you have strong people skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn, we’ll provide the training to help you become a confident Server.

$18.25/hour base wage + tips

What You’ll Do

As a Server, you’ll take care of guests throughout their visit and help create the friendly, welcoming experience Red Robin is known for.

Your responsibilities will include:

Welcoming guests and creating a positive experience from start to finish

Taking accurate food and beverage orders

Learning the menu and helping guests with recommendations

Serving food and beverages efficiently and accurately

Checking in with guests and anticipating what they may need

Processing payments accurately

Keeping your tables and section clean and organized

Working closely with Hosts, Bartenders, Expeditors, kitchen team members, and restaurant leaders

Following responsible alcohol-service and food-safety procedures

Helping create an experience that keeps guests coming back

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people who:

Are friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking with guests

Enjoy working with people and being part of a team

Can stay organized while handling multiple tables and priorities

Are dependable and arrive ready to work

Are willing to learn our menu and service standards

Take pride in providing great hospitality

Are available for a combination of day, evening, and/or weekend shifts

Previous restaurant serving experience is an asset, but not required.

Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, hosting, bartending, or another guest-facing role can also be a great fit.

Serving It Right certification is required for liquor service in British Columbia.

New to Serving?

You don’t need years of restaurant experience to succeed here.

If you’re friendly, dependable, comfortable working with people, and eager to learn, we’ll teach you our menu, service standards, POS system, and the skills you need to become a successful Server.
