Position Summary

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager - The Server is responsible for delivering attentive, efficient, and friendly service in a dining setting. This role includes taking food and drink orders, serving meals and beverages, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. The Server must possess thorough menu knowledge, handle transactions accurately, and address guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly, provide menu recommendations, and address dietary preferences and restrictions.
  • Accurately take and process orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system and coordinate with kitchen staff for timely service.
  • Serve food and beverages with proper presentation and adherence to service standards while monitoring guest needs throughout the dining experience.
  • Maintain clean and organized dining areas, including setting and clearing tables, and ensure back-of-house areas are hygienic and tidy.
  • Adhere to ProServe standards, alcohol service regulations, and all health and safety protocols, including proper food handling.
  • Present checks to guests, process payments accurately, and reconcile daily transactions following company policies.
  • Assist in setting up and serving for special events or banquets, including arranging seating and preparing service stations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and assist in training new servers on menu items and service techniques.
  • Address guest complaints or concerns according to procedures, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Contribute to departmental briefings, collaborate with colleagues, and assist in other resort areas as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work in all Food & Beverage outlets.
  • Diploma or degree in hospitality is an asset.
  • Eligible to work in Canada full-time.
  • Able to lift, push or pull up to 40Ibs.
  • Ability to manage multiple tables and tasks efficiently, especially during busy service periods.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • ProServe certification or willing to obtain.
  • Previous serving or hospitality experience is an asset but not required.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Duration: This is a Full-Time seasonal position, April to October. Overtime during busy periods may be required.
