We are looking for a highly driven SEO leader to build a cutting-edge search practice from the ground up. You will shape and launch a high-impact SEO department that serves top ecommerce brands across industries, with a strong focus on AI-powered strategies like Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). You’ll drive SEO strategies for both client projects and the company’s internal platforms while collaborating closely with designers, developers, and content teams in a fully remote, global environment. This is an opportunity to define how next-generation brands grow through organic discovery.

Accountabilities:

• Build and lead the entire SEO function, developing innovative service offerings tailored to ecommerce clients on Shopify.
• Design and launch GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies using cutting-edge AI technologies to improve discoverability across new search engines and platforms.
• Oversee SEO implementation across client sites, collaborating with project teams to ensure seamless technical integration and on-page optimization.
• Develop SEO strategy for the company’s website, including keyword-focused content planning, performance monitoring, and link-building initiatives.
• Create high-quality backlink strategies, including outreach to authoritative and .edu domains.
• Contribute to business development by educating internal teams, supporting sales cycles, and shaping persuasive SEO pitches.
• Drive SEO-driven content creation in collaboration with writers and external partners, using data to measure performance and adapt strategy.

• Proven experience in driving measurable SEO growth, preferably in ecommerce; familiarity with Shopify is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated ability to build an SEO function or initiative from scratch in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical skills and proficiency in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Google Search Console, Keyword Planner, and Google Analytics.
• Curiosity and passion for AI applications in SEO, especially GEO or similar forward-looking technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Independent, proactive mindset with a hands-on approach to strategy, execution, and reporting.
• Experience managing backlink campaigns, third-party content placement, and UTM-based performance tracking.
