Role Overview

The Senior Electrical Engineer will work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team developing new and innovative electronics solutions to meet customer needs. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems, including low noise preamps, high-speed digital telemetry, Digital Signal Processing, and RF design.

Responsibilities
  1. Design, implement, and test electrical and electronic hardware and firmware in accordance with company procedures and project requirements.
  2. Prepare and review design documentation, including schematics, layouts, specifications, and data sheets.
  3. Collaborate with project teams to modify, upgrade, or replace electrical systems.
  4. Estimate project costs and contribute to reporting.
  5. Apply engineering principles and practices independently.
  6. Act as a technical interface with customers.
  7. Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
  8. Participate in technical reviews.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with 10+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years of experience.
  • Eligibility to work with Canadian Controlled Goods and US ITAR controlled articles.
  • Ability to obtain NATO Reliability and Secret security clearance.
Preferred Skills
  • Master's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Underwater Acoustics Engineering.
  • Experience in military or commercial electronics (>10 years).
  • Leadership experience in electrical/electronic engineering projects (>3 years).
  • Experience in maritime or underwater warfare domains.
  • Expertise in analog/digital design, embedded microcontrollers, FPGA, and communication protocols.
  • Proficiency with design tools like OrCAD, VHDL, and embedded development environments.
  • Strong communication skills, team orientation, and willingness to travel.
