Job description

The Sennebogen – Account Manager position entails providing information about Scrap Handling, Sawmill, Waste Management, Ports and Tree Care market segments to customers to increase sales and to develop or maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers. The Sennebogen – Account Manager oversees the account and works closely with the Regional Vice-President to develop sales programs and strategies to attain annual budget targets.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiating and leveraging sales opportunities with existing and prospective customers while developing and maintaining accounts assigned by the RVP.
  • Oversees all accounts and collaborates with the RVP to facilitate the sales of Sennebogen product offering.
  • Uphold Nors values and expectations throughout the sales process.
  • Understand product offering, competition, and market information.
  • Attain short and long-term objectives through good management and planning.
  • Understand and comply with Nors safety program.
  • Effectively communicate and build positive relationships with all departments and levels within the company.
  • Promote a positive and professional relationship image.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Work with existing customers in uncovering opportunities for additional products or services.
  • Research customer and industry, working closely with Sennebogen Regional Business Manager and RVPs.
  • Develop individual sales strategy for “A” and “B” ranked customers in collaboration with RVP. Qualify and prospect customers.
  • Maintain professional rapport / representation with customers.
  • Collaborate with parts / service throughout the sales cycle.
  • Maintain / update CRM.
  • Maintain accurate customer status and data in CRM for reporting, mailings, and marketing programs.
  • Understand and adhere to Nors methodology / brand / values.
  • Prepare and execute approved sales proposals.

Initiate and Leverage Customer Relationship :

  • Develop new customers through analyzing, exploring, networking, and referrals.
  • Cold calling.
  • Escalate issues throughout the sales cycle to RVP for opportunities and issues within the specific branch area.
  • Develop sales plan and complete quarterly and monthly reports as required by RVP.
  • Research and understand competition.
  • Conduct competitive analysis.
  • Attend product training as required.
  • Utilize and understand training resources.
  • Seek out and attend necessary trade shows, industry events, and conferences.

CORE COMPETENCIES :

  • A minimum of 5 years proven equipment sales experience.
  • Ability to speak effectively one-on-one and within a group, making objective decisions that are timely and clear.
  • Ability to work positively in a team environment.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills required for internal and external communication and presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to create Excel spreadsheets and write effective documents and reports.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Trade-in.
  • Industry knowledge.
  • Self-controlled work ethic; self-starter / self-motivated.

EDUCATION / TRAINING :

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent industry experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years proven equipment sales experience.

Particular Conditions :

  • Overtime may be required, after-hours, and / or weekends.
