Qualifications

  • Ability to author in both official languages is preferred.
  • Eligibility for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), ITAR, and security clearances is required.

Position Overview :

The Senior Writer will prepare and revise technical publications using markup languages (SGML, HTML, XML) and other media, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards. Reporting to the Technical Publications Supervisor, you will maintain accurate technical information for Operation and Maintenance Manuals and collaborate with managers, engineers, QA, and other technical writers. Technical orientation and experience in a dynamic environment are essential.

  • Update data to reflect current system configurations.
  • Meet project deadlines while adhering to departmental standards.
  • Create clear material and instructions for illustrations when needed.
  • Ensure all outputs meet specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring :

  • Understanding of SGML/XML and HTML markup languages.
  • Proficiency with PC tools and software applications.
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management.
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in technical writing or related fields.
  • Experience in technical writing or similar roles is preferred.
