Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Quality Assurance professional in Toronto with a strong focus on Workday HCM Recruiting testing. You will design and execute test plans, perform multi-level testing, and drive automation using Python/Java and Selenium.

Ideal candidates will have 5–10 years of software testing experience, hands-on Workday Recruiting testing, and a track record in AI-assisted scripting with GitHub Copilot. Hybrid work setup in Toronto, with a discretionary annual bonus opportunity.

• 5-10 years of professional software testing experience with emphasis on Workday HCM Recruiting module testing.
• Hands-on functional testing across the Workday Recruiting module.
• Strong experience in test automation using Python and/or Java with Selenium.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted script development.
• Proficiency with JIRA for agile testing and issue tracking.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Workday HCM modules (Specifically Recruiting)

Required skills

• 5-10 years of professional software testing experience, with a strong focus on Workday HCM (Specifically Recruiting module testing).
• Should have knowledge or hands-on functional testing experience across the Workday HCM Recruiting module.
• Must have strong practical experience in test automation using Python and/or Java, alongside web automation with Selenium.
• Experience leveraging GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted script development.
• Proficiency with JIRA for agile testing and issue tracking.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities.

Preferred skills

• Banking domain is nice to have.
• Workday Certifications is good to have.

Total compensation:

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 60,000 – 90,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a Cognizant or client office in Toronto, ON.
