Job Description : Senior Front End Designer (Canada Residents Only)

We are seeking a Senior Front End Designer with experience in the public sector or government sector to join our team in Edmonton, AB. This is a 12-month contract position, primarily remote with occasional office visits.

Must Have Skills :

• Public Sector / Government Sector experience
• 10-15 years of relevant experience
• Experience designing and enhancing services via web and other channels
• Developing UX artifacts, including scenarios, storyboards, wireframes, flows, and prototypes
• Working within cross-functional product teams in an Agile environment

Nice to Have :

• Building and maintaining component libraries / design systems
• Exploring multiple design solutions and communicating visually through sketches, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
• Applying accessibility standards and principles, including WCAG
• Knowledge of current methodologies and design thinking to improve service experience
• Proficiency with front-end design tools such as Axure, Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma
• Experience in large-scale service innovation, program review, or digital transformation projects
• Experience working in a dedicated public sector digital office (e.g., UK Government Digital Service, ON Digital Service, BC Digital Experience, AB Digital Innovation Office)
