Firecrawl is hiring a Search Engineer to keep our web access fast, reliable, and resilient. You’ll study detection systems, reproduce signals, and build production-grade automation that scales across fleets. You’ll own critical reliability work and ship improvements in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll work on browser automation, network fingerprinting, and tooling in a role that blends research with shipping—on-site in Toronto. Equity is part of the package, with generous growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python experience.
• Deep understanding of browser internals and headless automation.
• Solid knowledge of HTTP/TLS, proxies, and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer detection to understand how websites block automation.
• Identify signals that differentiate automated vs. human traffic.
• Reproduce signals in test environments and harden approaches.
