Department: Executive and Indigenous Affairs

The Department of Executive and Indigenous Affairs works to provide overall management and direction to the Executive branch of the Government of the Northwest Territories. The Department is responsible for coordinating and supporting the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of initiatives and actions in support of cross-government goals. The Department is responsible for ensuring mutually respectful intergovernmental relations between the territorial government and Aboriginal, provincial, territorial, and national and international governments are maintained, along with negotiating and implementing land, resources, and self-government agreements that address Aboriginal rights in the Northwest Territories.

The Government of the Northwest Territories is looking for a Senior Web Communications Specialist to join our team and help us take our digital presence to the next level! What You'll Be Doing:
Web Wizardry: You'll be the master of web content, creating, editing, and managing content experiences to make sure it's clear, engaging, and user-friendly.
Projects: You'll also get to lead the charge on major web projects, keeping them on track, on budget, and looking sharp.
Content: You'll be setting standards for web content across the GNWT, making sure everything we publish is top-notch and serves our unique northern audience.
Digital Detective: You'll use your analytical skills to figure out what's working, what's not, and how we can make our web presence even better.
Team Transformer: You'll collaborate with all sorts of people from tech experts to communication gurus to make sure our message is consistent and powerful.

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by one of the following:
- Completion of a degree in computer science, business, journalism, or communication, and three years experience in web content/project management.
- Completion of a diploma in computer science, business, journalism, or communication, and four years experience in web content/project management.
- Completion of relevant coursework or certifications (such as a user experience certification) and five years experience in web content/project management.
