Job summary

Maple Reinders Constructors in Mississauga, Ontario, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead water and wastewater civil infrastructure projects. You will oversee project teams, manage budgets, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with a strong safety culture.

The role requires a proven track record in water/wastewater, a university degree in civil engineering, and professional designation preferred (P. Eng/Gold Seal). The company offers competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10 or more years experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry with a general contractor
• Experience in Water/Wastewater, Energy projects, and civil infrastructure construction
• A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience
• Professional Designation preferred - P. Eng and/or Gold Seal

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with clients, consultants, architects, sub-contractors and stakeholders
• Manage the project following Maple Reinders’ processes ensuring quality and consistency
• Mentor junior Project Managers and Coordinators
• Assist in schedules, submissions, and pursuit phase activities
• Negotiate contracts with owners and agents
• Develop budgets and cost projections
• Plan and schedule project completion
• Submit budgeting information to Construction Manager
• Select suppliers and sub-trades and obtain quotations
• Negotiate scope with sub-trades and suppliers
• Manage submittals and approvals
• Review shop drawings
• Maintain project administration files
• Control documents (drawings & specifications)
• Implement and update QA/QC
• Ensure timely progress payments
• Quote and negotiate change orders
• Lead start up, progress, and close out meetings
• Manage project close out
• Identify risks and assess site conditions
• Handle payment requisitions and changes between parties
• Administer construction contracts
• Emphasize site safety per regs and policy
