AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer for full‑time employment based in Markham, ON. The role balances technical leadership with project management, client engagement, and business development across a range of water resources projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related discipline.
Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) within Canada.
Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in water resources engineering.
Experience managing water resources projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and client coordination responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, execution, and delivery of water resources projects from conceptual studies through detailed design, tendering, and construction support.
Provide technical leadership for stormwater management, drainage infrastructure, hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, flood mitigation, stream rehabilitation, and green infrastructure projects.
Lead and review technical analyses, engineering calculations, reports, specifications, tender documents, and cost estimates.
Apply innovative and sustainable approaches to water resources management while balancing infrastructure needs, environmental protection, and regulatory requirements.
Support projects serving municipal, transportation, transit, and watershed management clients across Ontario.
