The Opportunity:
The Senior Water Resources Engineer will contribute to the Infrastructure Planning Group and collaborate closely with the Ontario Engineering team. This role offers flexibility, with the option to work from either the Oakville or Ottawa office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Perform urban water, sanitary and drainage system modelling, including data management, model setup and calibration, and system assessment;
2. Lead the development of Infrastructure servicing plans for subdivisions, neighbourhood and city-wide areas;
3. Perform hydrological and hydraulic modelling and lead the development of Integrated Stormwater Management Plans and Flood Management Plans;
4. Develop rainwater source control LID concepts and assist in LID designs;
5. Lead technical analysis in support of Civil engineering design associated with municipal water, sanitary sewer, drainage conveyance works and hydraulic structures;
6. Prepare construction cost estimates, implementation plans and operation and maintenance manuals;
7. Write and review technical memorandums and reports.

Additional responsibilities will include client communication and management; assistance with proposal preparation; coordination with subconsultants, regulatory agencies, project planning, budgeting, scheduling and other project management tasks.

Skills and Abilities:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with minimum 6-10 years of related experience.
2. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario (PEO) an asset.
3. Experienced in hydrological and hydraulic analysis and modelling using various techniques and modelling software.
4. Experienced in infrastructure master planning and flood management planning.
5. Experience in stormwater/groundwater balance.
6. Experience in the design of stormwater control structures.
7. Experience in hydrotechnical assessment, including climate change factoring related to flood and drought.
8. Proficient in using AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS or QGIS, PCSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, HEC-RAS and other computer programs used for preparing reports, presentations and designs.
9. Experienced in project management.
10. Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
11. Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
