Your Role:
- Manage and deliver water resources and municipal engineering projects.
- Conduct engineering calculations, support the development of design plans, and perform hydraulic and hydrologic analyses for stormwater management, flood control, wastewater treatment, and water supply projects.
- Collect and analyze relevant data, such as rainfall patterns, flow rates, and water quality data.
- Conduct site visits and field investigations to assess existing infrastructure.
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards and advancements in water resources and municipal engineering.
- Manage construction activities and work with contractors and clients.
- Prepare proposals and define project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Train junior staff.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development.
- Work in a safe manner at all times.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Over 10 years of progressive relevant engineering experience.
- Experience or aptitude for proposal writing and client development.
- Registered P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) is a plus.
- Registered or eligible to register as an Engineer in Training with EGBC.
- Familiarity with MMCD is a plus.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD.
- Familiar with water resources engineering principles and municipal infrastructure systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
