VoIP.ms in Montreal is seeking a software developer with strong networking, software, and telecom background to help build our next-generation RTC platform and migrate from our legacy system.

You will design and implement real-time communication services, work with open-source and commercial platforms, and collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a developer working with VoIP/SIP applications.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience coding and creating SIP Services with Asterisk / Freeswitch, and OpenSIPS / Kamailio.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Demonstrated experience in Python.
• Strong technical aptitude and a quick learner.

Our ideal candidate would have either have a skillset in (or an interest to learn) the following:

• Technicals: Python, SQL, cloud environments/architectures, messaging or event-based asynchronous systems, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• DevOps: Familiarity with DevSecOps principles, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, Consul, and AWX.
• Misc: Experience with CloudFlare and other infrastructure automation tools
