Job description

The Angus Reid Group is looking for a Senior Vice President of Research to join our Research team on a full-time basis.

The Senor VP of research builds and nurture client relationships to understand their goals and ensure successful partnerships. This team member will work closely with Analysts, Managers, and SVPs to support and execute client projects, delivering final reports with strategic insights, summaries, and recommendations. Demonstrated their research skills and knowledge and is a key contact for clients on any questions or clarifications. This team member will be working with some of Canada’s largest brands to inform their insights needs and grow these accounts.

Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Nurturing client relationships while identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts and consulting/participating in the selling process
  • Leading the sales process through proposal development, including methodology design, costing, scheduling and design considerations
  • Overseeing project management in its entirety ensuring timely, quality deliverables according to project design
  • Analyzing results and creating a "story" that delivers insightful, strategic and actionable answers for clients
  • Confidently presenting results to all levels of client organizations in a clear and compelling manner
  • Providing advice, guidance and counselling to Research Analysts and Research Managers,
  • Presenting findings independently to clients and leading brainstorming sessions
  • Utilizing a variety of quantitative methodologies on multiple projects, with larger and high complexity clients
  • Demonstrating exceptionally strong research design and core analytical skills
  • Managing processes with other departments to coordinate project flow
  • Developing insights and implications from your understanding of clients’ business needs and translating those needs into research solutions
  • Understanding the portfolio of tools for client solutions
  • Focusing on excellent execution of deliverables
  • A background in qualitative research including developing/implementing various methodologies and moderation
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team to achieve individual and collective goals aligned with company objectives.
  • Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and hold team members accountable through regular check-ins, feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, growth, and professional development.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive team environment where collaboration, innovation, and open communication are encouraged.

Experience, Skills and Requirements:

  • 10 + years of direct and relevant experience
  • University Degree or Post-Graduate Program in a relevant field (Market Research, Business Insights, Marketing, Statistics, or other)
  • Solid English communication skills, both written and oral are required
  • Proficiency in SPSS and/or Q or other tabulations software
  • Excellent skills in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite are required
  • Able to work within a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, while maintaining close attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and with a team

Salary 160k with flexibility
