Base pay range

$168,400.00/yr - $252,500.00/yr

Infrastructure Ontario (IO), an Ontario crown corporation, provides a wide range of services to support the Ontario government’s initiative to modernize and maximize the value of public infrastructure and realty. IO has been recognized domestically and internationally for the way it does business and the success it has had with its major projects, real estate services, infrastructure lending, commercial projects, and development mandate. IO delivers some of the most complex, ambitious commercial and land development solutions for the Province and continues to evolve and expand its capabilities to maximize its public impact and deliver on its vision of creating a connected, modern and competitive Ontario.

Advance evidence-based decision-making at IO by developing a unified strategic approach to the use of data, information, and analysis. Lead functions responsible for data and knowledge reporting, governance, retention, and analysis to support IO teams and create integrated and consistent solutions to enterprise information and insights needs. Act as a catalyst for innovation by identifying areas of IO’s operations that could be better understood or improved and select the right team/resources to deliver practical solutions.

What You Will Do

Lead the creation of integrated data and knowledge management strategies:

  • Establish best practices for data and information creation, usage, and retention.
  • Support data governance and records management processes.
  • Develop strategies to improve decision-making processes with better data usage.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal obligations.
  • Provide training to support best practices and compliance.

Identify Areas To Improve Outcomes At IO

  • Develop an integrated insights, reporting, and quality support plan.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Strategy, Strategic Engagement, and Sustainability to identify priority areas.
  • Create cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Determine appropriate dissemination levels of products.

Lead a Data And Information-driven Culture

  • Oversee the creation of new data and knowledge products.
  • Develop strategies to promote data and knowledge resources.
  • Increase self-service capacity for business lines.

Serve As a Senior Leader In Strategic Enterprise Services

  • Develop coaching and mentorship standards.
  • Contribute to staff development within the division.
  • Participate in team leadership and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in developing strategic plans and budgets.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in public administration, business, engineering, data science, knowledge management, or social science. A Master’s degree or higher in analytics, business administration, data science, data/knowledge management, Geographic Information Systems, or any advanced research degree (PhD) is an asset.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in data and knowledge management, with a focus on strategic, operational, financial, and human dimensions.
  • Designations/Certifications/Licenses: Relevant professional certifications are an asset.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Expertise in data governance, records management, and privacy.
