A leading company specializing in property development is looking for a Senior Vice President for Construction, overseeing diverse residential and mixed-use projects. This role involves leading construction teams, ensuring project implementation aligns with goals, and fostering relationships with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in high-rise construction and demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills.
The SVP, Construction, will oversee a portfolio of purpose-built rental residential and mixed-use projects. The SVP will report to the Executive VP, Construction and Capital Expenditures. Leading a team of construction professionals with offices located in Toronto, Vancouver, and Victoria, the SVP will have direct involvement in all stages of project delivery, from conceptualization to completion. The role includes oversight of all construction activities, including design, pre-construction, estimating, tendering, contract negotiations, planning, evaluating means and methods, financial forecasting, building and suite delivery, and project close-out.

The ideal candidate will hold a university degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field, with at least 20 years of senior leadership experience in multi-unit and high-rise residential construction. They will have completed multiple full construction cycles within urban, multi-phased, residential, and mixed-use projects. The candidate should demonstrate strong leadership, relationship-building, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
