Industrial Light & Magic is seeking a Producer to lead groundbreaking animated film projects in Vancouver. This role requires proficiency in production management, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience in feature animation. The Producer will collaborate with creative leads and manage schedules and budgets, ensuring projects meet the highest quality standards while delivering on time.

As a Producer, you’ll lead the production of groundbreaking animated films, managing schedules, budgets, and resources while collaborating with top creative talent. Prior experience in feature animation is essential, as you’ll be instrumental in delivering projects that uphold ILM’s legacy of excellence and innovation.
The Producer (Feature Animation) partners with the VFX Supervisor, Animation Supervisor and other key creative leads to deliver the Director’s vision. This role involves managing schedules, processes, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope, while upholding the highest standards of quality.
What You’ll Do
Meet with clients to review scripts, breakdowns, and storyboards for a specific project.
Partner with Key ILM Creatives to develop the approach for producing the film and provide clients with estimates of budget and schedule requirements needed to complete the work.
Prepare key dates schedules and assumptions for the work.
During production, serve as a client contact for non-creative issues, tracking and reporting the progress of work, budgeting and negotiating the cost of work, and delivering cost / schedule changes to ensure the client is updated as needed.
Create, organize, and maintain the overall project schedule.
Manage weekly reporting of productivity to the Client as approved by Studio Management.
Supervise assigned production staff and help them balance creative vision with production constraints.
Evaluate Financial Reports and work with production accountants to provide management with early, consistent, and accurate budget reporting.
Share responsibility for the success of the project by proactively managing schedules, utilizing ILM’s global resources and 3rd party partners where appropriate.
Coordinate with fellow Producers and Studio Management to ensure that conflicts are resolved in the best interest of the companies’ goals.
Recruit outstanding creative talent and help to retain them.
Communicate regularly with the Executive Producer on all creative and production issues.
This role may also require travel for client meetings.
What We’re Looking For
Proven work experience in production management to include strong working knowledge of CG Animation techniques and terminology.
Proficiency in Macs / PCs including Microsoft Office, G-Suite and project planning tools.
Must possess very strong organizational and communication skills and be able to handle a variety of tasks in an efficient manner while meeting deadlines.
Shotgrid experience is preferred, but not essential.

The hiring range for this position in Vancouver is C$156,700.00 to C$200,500.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A full range of medical, financial, and / or other variable pay or benefits, may be offered dependent on the level and position offered.
