Job summary

Manning Elliott LLP in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Associate, Valuations and M&A to join our M&A and Valuations group. You’ll work primarily on business valuation engagements, supporting clients with succession planning, shareholder transactions, tax and estate planning, and financial reporting.

You’ll collaborate with senior team members on developing analyses, preparing working papers and draft reports, and participate in client discussions while building expertise in valuation methodologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related area.
• Current enrollment in the CBV Program of Studies, or clear commitment to enroll and complete it.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA is an asset but not required.
• Approximately 2–3 years of relevant valuation or transaction experience.
• Experience analyzing financial statements, forecasts, and schedules for valuation.
• Experience in transaction services, valuation advisory, or corporate finance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support valuation engagements by gathering, organizing, and reviewing financial information.
• Analyze historical financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and normalization adjustments to identify value factors.
• Assist with valuation calculations and financial models under senior guidance.
• Conduct company, industry, economic, and market research to support assumptions and conclusions.
• Prepare schedules, working papers, and draft report sections for review.
• Participate in client discussions and follow up on information requests.
• Assist in drafting valuation reports and client deliverables with accuracy.
