About the Role:

As the Utility Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for leading detailed inspections of overhead utility infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, and contributing to process improvements within the electric utility sector. In this role, you will oversee QA/QC processes, perform advanced data analysis, and provide technical leadership to support project success.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead detailed inspections of overhead utility infrastructure, identifying faults and hazards.
  • Perform advanced data analysis, ensuring high standards of accuracy and data quality.
  • Oversee QA/QC processes for work packages and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide feedback and contribute to process improvements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align data accuracy with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with utility companies to ensure project goals and deliverables are met.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skill development.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in the electric utility field (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills (must-have).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (must-have).
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities (must-have).
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), national engineering standards, utility construction standards, and best industry engineering practices (nice-to-have).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate effectively with a distributed workforce.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies within the utility sector.

Tools/Technical Environment:

  • GIS software for utility asset mapping and analysis
  • Data management tools for cataloging and reporting
  • Communication platforms for collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Industry-standard reference materials, including NESC and engineering guidelines
